Early Years Practitioner DBS
Our team
Our experienced and caring Early Years Practitioners are at the heart of everything we do. Dedicated to supporting each child's unique learning journey, our team creates a warm, welcoming environment where children feel safe, inspired, and encouraged to reach their full potential through play, exploration, and discovery.
We follow a key worker system, ensuring that every child has a familiar adult who knows them well, supports their development, and helps them feel secure and valued within the setting. We believe that strong partnerships with families are essential to children's wellbeing and success, and we work closely with parents and carers to share achievements, celebrate milestones, and support each child's individual needs.
Together, we create a nurturing and inclusive community where children, families, and practitioners learn and grow alongside one another.

Our Key People
At Parkview Community Playgroup, we operate a key worker system to help every child feel safe, secure, and valued. Each child is assigned a dedicated key worker who takes a special interest in their wellbeing, learning, and development throughout their time with us.
The key worker builds a trusting relationship with both the child and their family, helping children to settle into the setting, develop confidence, and feel a sense of belonging. Through regular observations and discussions with parents and carers, key workers gain a deep understanding of each child's interests, strengths, and individual needs, enabling them to plan meaningful learning experiences that support their development.
Working in partnership with families is at the heart of our approach. By sharing information, celebrating achievements, and supporting children together, we ensure that every child receives the best possible start to their early years journey.
All of our practitioners have undergone

Our History
Parkview Community Playgroup is a highly regarded, community-led pre-school and registered charity (Charity Number: 1153914). Established in the mid-1980s, Parkview has been at the heart of the local community for over 40 years, providing generations of children with a happy, nurturing, and stimulating start to their early years education.
Unlike many nurseries and pre-schools, Parkview is governed by a dedicated parent-led committee, working in partnership with our Supervisor, Kate Booth, and a team of highly experienced Early Years Practitioners who support and nurture children every day.
What makes Parkview particularly special is our close-knit team. All of our staff are parents themselves, bringing not only professional knowledge and experience but also a genuine understanding of family life and the importance of providing a safe, caring, and supportive environment for young children. We work closely together, supporting one another and the families within our community, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere where everyone feels valued.
